Family Photoshoot in Rethymno: Light, Sea & Timeless Moments

  Rethymno is one of the most charming places on the island of Crete for a family photoshoot, and this session was a perfect example of that. Over the past year, I had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful and large family in this unique coastal town.

Most of the photos were taken near the iconic lighthouse and the old Venetian harbor — a location that combines soft sea light, historic textures, and a relaxed atmosphere. The views there create a timeless backdrop that works perfectly for natural, emotional family portraits.

Of course, family photoshoots in Rethymno often take place in the Old Town as well, with its narrow streets and warm colours. But this particular family chose to focus more on the lighthouse area, and it truly gave their photos a fresh, open, and elegant feeling.

I’ll be sharing some of the moments from this session — a big, joyful family, genuine emotions, and memories that will last for years.
