Irini & Steve: A Chic Greek-French Destination Wedding at Grecotel LUX ME White Palace, Rethymn

When two distinct cultures join in one of the Mediterranean’s most breathtaking settings, magic happens naturally. Irini, hailing from Greece, and Steve, coming from France, celebrated their union at the iconic Grecotel LUX ME White Palace in Rethymno, Crete—and having the privilege to document their day was an absolute honor.

A Fusion of Culture and Romance

There is something inherently romantic about destination weddings, but bringing together Greek warmth and French sophistication creates an atmosphere like no other. Family and friends traveled from near and far, gathering on the Cretan coast to watch Irini and Steve say "I do." The blending of traditions made the day deeply personal, filled with joyful laughter, heartfelt speeches, and non-stop dancing under the stars.

The Venue: Grecotel LUX ME White Palace

Set directly against the sparkling Aegean Sea, Grecotel LUX ME White Palace provided the ultimate backdrop for their celebration. With its signature whitewashed architecture, sleek modern design, and sweeping views of the coastline, every corner of the property felt tailored for high-end wedding photography.

The soft coastal light during golden hour illuminated the crisp white arches and open sea views, allowing us to capture effortless, timeless portraits that reflect both the grandeur of the venue and the intimate bond between the bride and groom.

Capturing the Moments

As a photographer, my goal is always to focus on authentic emotion—the quiet glances during the ceremony, the candid laughter among guests, and the genuine energy on the dance floor. Irini & Steve’s wedding was a beautiful reminder of why I love photographing destination weddings in Greece: unforgettable locations paired with love stories that span across borders.
