It’s already the end of November, the tourist season is long over, but there are tourists who like to travel at this time. There are many reasons: comfortable weather, lack of crowds, cheap tickets. This is exactly what a family from Texas, USA was like. Their daughter just graduated from school and entered university, earning as a gift from her parents not only a trip to Greece, but also a photo shoot on the island of Crete with a Flying Dress. On such a day there was a risk of getting caught in the rain, but fortunately it caught us only at the beginning, but thanks to it, the clouds in the sky added drama to the photo shoot, a little HDR in photo processing only emphasized the nature of the weather.  For the girl, this was the first photo shoot in her life, the slightly constrained movements at the beginning of posing very soon gave way to a joyful game for the camera, everything went perfectly. 

When the tourist season ends in Crete, a lot of free time appears and everyone spends it differently. My favorite pastime has always been traveling around the island to places I have never been before. Now my faithful travel companion is a small Honda moped)) and therefore I am exploring everything in the area about 100 kilometers around Rethymno, I think this winter I will buy a car and expand the geography of my travels.

Even though the tourist season is over, flying dresses still continue to be in demand. One client wants to make a gift for his daughter, and even one bride writes that she has long dreamed of a photo shoot in a flowing dress and on her wedding day she will change clothes in order to take several photographs. Wendy  &  Antonios turned out to be people from different countries who were united by love in the vastness of the island of Crete. Only a few of our closest friends were at the ceremony, then we walked around the places that were significant to them in the city and region of Rethymno, where they loved to walk at the very beginning of their romantic relationship.

After the walk, our couple of newlyweds in love wanted to take a break so that they could have a good time in the evening at dinner with friends at the hotel where they first met and are now celebrating their wedding.

This Friday I will have a very small wedding. Besides the bride and groom there will be only a few closest friends. The ceremony will take place in a miniature chapel in the old town of Rethymno, after which we will take some photos near the church and walk around the old town. I want to photograph the newlyweds in front of the mosque in the center of the old city, at the Rimondi Fountain, and walk around the Fortezza fortress. 

Next, this is the client’s wish, we will go to Milli Gorge, this is an iconic place for them and photographs from there are important to them. I have long wanted to do a photo shoot in that gorge, it is a very beautiful place with atmospheric abandoned houses. Next, if there is time left, we will take some photos on the beach. After a short break, I will take photos at their banquet in the hotel restaurant. It will already be dark, so reportage photos with flash await us.
