Near the Arkadi monastery on the island of Crete there is a great place for photo sessions, especially in the spring, because... the grass has a lush green color. African Acacias grow next to the monastery; we chose them as the location for our last photo shoot with flying dresses. While I’m processing the photos, I took a few from a drone so you can see how beautiful it is in spring in Crete.

Today is the anniversary of the full-scale Russian war against Ukraine. The senseless war claimed a huge number of lives and caused enormous suffering to people. We, the people on the island of Crete, united on this day in the city of Heraklion and showed our support for the Ukrainian defenders.

Yesterday (01/14/2024) I drove to the Arkadi monastery to see what it was like in the mountains of Crete in January. The weather was good, rare clouds and not a strong wind allowed me to take beautiful shots from the drone. I will share with you some of them here.

I walk around the city of Rethymno and its surroundings, looking for the most beautiful places and stands to shoot video and take photographs from a drone. There is so much to capture on the island of Crete that it could become your whole life’s work))

I want to share good news with you, I finally bought a new drone for shooting photos and videos. This is a model from the DJI  mini4pro, for my purposes, filming weddings and photo/video sessions, flying dresses, etc. it fits the specifications perfectly. There are so many beautiful places on the island of Crete that can be seen from a bird's eye view, that it was simply impossible to resist buying. Below I will show you the photos I took in the first three days after the purchase, and for now this is only in the city of Rethymno, in the near future I will travel with it all over Crete, and maybe even Greece.

It’s already the end of November, the tourist season is long over, but there are tourists who like to travel at this time. There are many reasons: comfortable weather, lack of crowds, cheap tickets. This is exactly what a family from Texas, USA was like. Their daughter just graduated from school and entered university, earning as a gift from her parents not only a trip to Greece, but also a photo shoot on the island of Crete with a Flying Dress. On such a day there was a risk of getting caught in the rain, but fortunately it caught us only at the beginning, but thanks to it, the clouds in the sky added drama to the photo shoot, a little HDR in photo processing only emphasized the nature of the weather.  For the girl, this was the first photo shoot in her life, the slightly constrained movements at the beginning of posing very soon gave way to a joyful game for the camera, everything went perfectly.
